Lake Days

When we go adventuring we waste no time with frivolous things like jackets or blankets. We ignore the wind pushing into our car and pretend not to notice the low hanging storm clouds.
We relish the silence, our companions are only the the waves crashing up against the sides of the few fishing boats out on the edge of the tide. Those poor, cold fishermen, being tossed about like toys in Gods great lake.










When we go adventuring it may take us a while to brave the cold water, but the yearn for a lake day out votes the sensibility of our practical minds.
Granted, certain children had to be bribed to get out in the water, but once there they had a difficult time coming back.

When we go adventuring we race back to the heated car and hot chocolate in front of a movie, because our adventuring never ends on a low note.
